Riding the trolley to the park was a real joy, passing through the trees and the small neighborhoods along the Potomac River, growing more excited as you rounded each bend, knowing that you were getting closer to the park.
The trolley company issued weeekly passes for trolley and bus riders, sometimes printing Glen Echo Park advertisements on the passes like the ones below.

Of course you needed tickets to ride the rides at the park. In the early years the tickets were ride specific with different prices for each ride. By the 1950's you bought a book or strip of tickets and gave a specific number of tickets per ride.
